Welcome
A little about ourselves
Brewers Jessica & Ted began brewing in their small kitchen in 2015 after they had visited every brewery in a 50 mile radius of their home in Agoura Hills. It started with beer making kits for a birthday present and quickly evolved to 10 gallon kettles, wort chillers and hydrometers. Now they are brewing new delicious creations a few times a month. Although Hopping Dog Brewing does not have a tasting room yet, who knows what the near future brings.
Where did the name "Hopping Dog Brewing" come from? It all started with two little Wheaten Terriers (Bonnie & Clyde) who hop like crazy whenever someone walks in the door. These two inspired the name, logo, labels and pretty much every branded item available.

Jessica, Co-Founder
Brewer / Branding Director
Born in Woodland Hills, CA, Jessica was born with beer in her blood. Her father had a love for Budweiser and Miller Lite and the smell still brings back nostalgic memories of going boating and summer vacations. Jessica knew she loved beer but was sheltered to the family refrigerator at that age. She knew there were better things out there. Once 21 years old, the craft breweries started surfacing and coming into light. Jessica was also completing her Masters degree at Pepperdine University in Business and Finance at the time and was considered the business possibilities. Finally in 2014, Jessica got Bonnie & Clyde, met her co-brewer Ted and the rest is history.
Favorite Beers: New England Style IPAs, Hoppy IPAs, Session IPAs, and Spicy Pale Ales.
Ted, Co-Founder
Brewer / Marking Expert
Born in West Hills, CA, Ted was always fascinated in finding new and exciting local eateries. As he got older, this hobby evolved to include whiskey and beer as well as the fundamentals behind it. His first experiment with making beer was with a kit he received as a gift from Jessica for Christmas. After a few one gallon kits, Ted and Jessica wanted to go bigger. They then started brewing bi-weekly on a 5 gallon system testing all sorts of beer. They were impressed with the results and started letting friends and family taste for themselves. Ted received his Bachelors of Science at Channel Islands University in Marketing and wanted to stay local to the area. If there is a new strange and different beer, Ted will try it!
Favorite Beers: Bourbon Barrel aged Porters, IPAs, Sours, Golden Stouts, Nitro Stouts, Red Ales, and Mosaic anything
